Subtracting 2-Digit Numbers
Subtraction is just taking things away! Today we'll learn how to subtract big numbers.
The Borrowing Rule
If the number on the bottom is BIGGER than the number on top in the Ones column, you must borrow!
Step 1: Look at the Ones column. Is Top < Bottom?
Step 2: Go to your neighbor (the Tens column) and take 1 Ten.
Step 3: Now you have 10 more ones! Subtract normally.
