The Inverse Strategy
Division is just multiplication in reverse. If you know that **$3 \times 4 = 12$**, then you already know that **$12 \div 3 = 4$**!
| Division Rule | How it Works |
|---|---|
| Dividing by 1 | The number stays exactly the same. $8 \div 1 = 8$. |
| Dividing by Self | Any number divided by itself is 1. $5 \div 5 = 1$. |
| Dividing by 2 | Find half of the number! $10 \div 2 = 5$. |
| Dividing by 0 | 🚫 Error! You cannot split things into zero groups! |
