Same Amount, Different Slices
In the bakery, we can cut a pie into 2 big pieces or 4 smaller pieces. Even though the numbers change, the amount of pie stays the same!
The Baker's Rule
Whatever you do to the top (Numerator), you MUST do to the bottom (Denominator). MathJax renders this rule perfectly:
\[ \frac{1}{2} \times \frac{3}{3} = \frac{3}{6} \]
