Fact Strategies
Don't just memorize—use these "Lab Shortcuts" to find the answer every time!
| Fact Family | The Shortcut Strategy |
|---|---|
| × 0 | Zero always wins. The answer is always 0. |
| × 1 | The "Mirror." The answer is the other number. |
| × 2 | The "Double." Just add the number to itself. |
| × 5 | Count by fives (5, 10, 15...) or look for numbers ending in 0 or 5. |
| × 9 | The "Finger Trick" or make sure the digits add up to 9! |
| × 10 | Just write the number and add a 0 at the end. |
