Points, Lines, and Rays
In geometry, every shape starts with a point. When points connect, they form paths!
| Term | Description |
|---|---|
| Point | A exact location in space. |
| Line | Straight path that goes on forever in both directions. |
| Line Segment | Part of a line with two endpoints. |
| Ray | A path that starts at one point and goes on forever in one direction. |
The Three Main Angles
Angles are measured in degrees (Β°). Think of them as the amount of "turn" between two rays.
| Type | Measure | Visual Aid |
|---|---|---|
| Acute | Less than 90Β° | "A-cute" little angle. |
| Right | Exactly 90Β° | The corner of a square. |
| Obtuse | More than 90Β° (but < 180Β°) | Wide open. |
Render Lab
Use your mouse to draw **Parallel** lines (lines that never touch) or **Perpendicular** lines (lines that cross at 90Β°).
